The Yadkin Family YMCA has served the local community for 20 years, and offers a wide range of programs for the whole family - including swim lessons and camps, as well as a comprehensive Wellness Center with on-duty staff, group exercise programs, and SilverSneakers® classes. Reaching Our Potential Gives Students Free Y Membership and Access to Opportunities

WINSTON-SALEM — For the fifth-consecutive academic year, the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina, in partnership with local school districts in Alexander, Davie, Forsyth, Iredell, Stokes, Wilkes and Yadkin counties, is offering a teen membership referral initiative to give youth a positive space to thrive at no cost to the teenager or their family.

Golf To Give Back

The YMCA of Northwest North Carolina will host its 29th annual Golf To Give Back tournament Oct. 16 at Tanglewood Park Golf Club.As one of the primary fundraisers for the nonprofit organization, participation and support in the tournament will help continue to provide opportunities for children, families, and individuals to grow, learn, and thrive in the community.

Capital Campaign Ignites Community Transformation at Yadkin Family YMCA

YADKINVILLE, NC (March 5, 2025) — The Yadkin Family YMCA is pleased to announce the official groundbreaking date for the renovation and expansion of its current facility. The Groundbreaking Ceremony will take place March 10, 2025, at the Yadkin Family YMCA, located at 6540 Service Rd in Yadkinville, North Carolina. The ceremony will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. and all media are encouraged to arrive at 9:30. The ceremony will feature remarks from Holly Joyner, Jerry Carlton, Bob Todd, Eddie Norman and YMCA of Northwest North Carolina CEO Darryl Head.

YMCA of Northwest North Carolina Hires Program Director of Teen Mental Health

Winston-Salem, NC (July 5, 2024) – The YMCA of Northwest North Carolina (NWNC) has hired Erin Bracey as its program director of teen mental health to address the critical needs of teens by identifying mental health challenges, providing resources and connections to mental health providers, and fostering supportive communities. In her role, Bracey will provide support to all 14 of the YMCA of NWNC’s locations.
