Every child deserves the opportunity to learn and stay on track academically

The YMCA’s Summer Learning Academies (SLAs) give students from Title-I schools an opportunity to learn and have fun in a structured environment — and help students from falling behind academically during the break from school. The program is focused on fighting what is known as “summer learning loss,” which negatively affects students. SLAs help students build confidence and positive relationships. Learning is made fun through hands-on activities, experiments, field trips, and so much more.
