President / CEO
YMCA of Northwest North Carolina
Darryl joined the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina in 2006 as Vice President of Operations and Executive Director of the William G. White, Jr. Family YMCA, providing leadership to many of the membership branches within the Association. In this role, he also worked with staff and boards on membership service and sales, program development, and the Annual Giving Campaign. In 2013, he became Senior Vice President and was named Chief Operating Officer in January of 2015. In 2022, he was named President and CEO. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Growing up in YMCA programs like Adventure Guides (formerly Indian Guides) and youth sports, Darryl’s first job was as a lifeguard and sports official in 1987 at his local YMCA. He has been working for the Y ever since, holding many positions throughout high school and college, as well as working summers as a counselor at YMCA Camp Sea Gull. His professional career with the Y has spanned 20 years and various positions at YMCAs in Nashville, Raleigh, and Winston-Salem.
With a long dedication to youth development, Darryl often volunteers to coach youth sports teams, including basketball, flag football, and soccer. He currently coaches basketball at the Y, as well as lacrosse and football in community leagues.
Darryl and his wife, Karin, live in Winston-Salem with their two children, Reed and Hayden.

Executive Vice President/COO/CFO
Donna Rodgers joined the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina in June of 2004 as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and became a Senior Vice President in 2009. In her role, she has provided leadership and guidance to the organization in fiscal management, budget and forecast development, strategic planning, and enterprise risk management. She holds a bachelor of science in business (major – accounting) from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Donna began her career in public accounting in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 1989. Since serving in both the audit and tax divisions of Price Waterhouse, she has held various financial manager positions in both employee benefit administrative and consulting companies, as well as financial reporting and management positions with large manufacturing corporations, both privately and publicly held. During her tenure with employee benefits administration, she obtained her Certified Employee Benefits Specialist designation, and served on retirement investment committees overseeing the investments and administration of a $700M master trust. Her current responsibilities also include overseeing Information Technology, Human Resources, and Payroll for the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina.
Donna resides in Kernersville, North Carolina, with her husband, Brad, and their two children, Rob and Beth.

Senior Vice President/Chief Advancement Officer
Carrie Collins joined the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina as the Vice
President of Marketing and Communications in January 2011, where she is
responsible for leading the association's marketing, advertising, digital, and
public relations strategy and implementation. As the Chief Advancement Officer, Carrie also leads the Y's fundraising and philanthropic efforts. Prior to joining the Y, Carrie spent more than 10 years combined as the Director of Marketing for both Primo Water Corporation and the City of Winston-Salem. In addition to her marketing and brand management experience, she has worked in various sales and business development positions at Dewey's Bakery/Salem Baking Company and ISP Sports (Now IMG College).
Carrie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism/public relations and Master of Sports Administration from Ohio University, and Master of Business Administration from Winston-Salem State University. In addition, she holds a Municipal Administration Certificate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Institute of Government, an Advanced Public Information Officer Certification from the Federal Emergency Management Agengy (FEMA) and an Organizational Leader Certification from YMCA of the USA.
A Leadership Winston-Salem graduate, Carrie was honored as a "40 Leaders Under 40" recipient in 2005 and currently serves on the Leadership Winston-Salem Board of Directors, City of Winston-Salem Public Assembly Facilities Commission, Winston-Salem State University Board of Visitors and the Maya Angelou Center for Women's Health Advisory Board.
Carrie and her husband, Greg, reside in Winston-Salem with their two sons, Drew and Ben. She enjoys playing sports and going to sporting events in her free time.

Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Chief People & Culture Officer
Mike provides guidance for all areas of Human Resources, People & Culture. With over 25 years of HR leadership experience, Mike has led Human Resources in public and private companies. He has been part of several start-up companies, HR transformations, IPOs, and numerous acquisitions. Mike’s energy and enthusiasm for creating great cultures is infectious. His passion for people is the driving force behind creating an environment where smart and talented people want to come & stay and become evangelists for the company.
Mike provides extensive experience in HR Strategy, Transformational Change, Change Management, Compensation, Organization Incentive Plans, Total Rewards/Benefits/Payroll/HRIS, Talent Acquisition & Management, Leadership Development, Talent /Culture Assessment, Succession Planning, Employee Engagement, Organizational Development, Employee Relations, Risk Management, Training & Development and Mergers & Acquisitions.
Prior to joining the YMCA-NWNC Mike spent the last decade in the Pharma industry as VP of Human Resources for StrideBio and Vigene Biosciences and the Head of Human Resources for Catalent Pharma Solutions-North Carolina in the Research Triangle Park. Mike supported drug development initiatives in the pursuit of lifesaving drugs.
Mike was part of the entrepreneurial group that opened Boston Market, Blue Rhino, and Primo Water in Winston Salem. Mike was the Vice President of Human Resources & CHRO for the Boston Market franchise and the Primo Water Corporation.
Mike is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a BA in Journalism.
