WHO WE ARE
The Yadkin Family YMCA has been serving the Yadkin County community in its current facility since 2001. The Y nurtures the potential of children, helps adults to live healthier, and supports our neighbors in need. We are where the community comes to learn, grow and thrive. Today, the Yadkin Family YMCA has more than 4,800 members and more than 13,000 individuals visit each month.
OUR VISION
The Yadkin community needs the Yadkin Family YMCA now more than ever. To continue to best serve our members and positively impact the health and wellness of our community, we are expanding and renovating to overcome the challenges and limitations of our facility.
OUR GOAL: $3 MILLION
A Capital expansion is essential for the Y’s ability to continue to strengthen our community by offering more healthy, safe, and positive activities. Your generosity will have a transformational impact by helping to raise $3 million to accomplish this major project for the Yadkin community.
OUR PLAN
The Yadkin Family YMCA Capital Campaign will fund a renovation and 8,000 square foot expansion and renovation that includes:
- Two new group exercise studio spaces for additional class offerings
- Expanded and renovated child care facilities
- New Turf Training Area
- Indoor/Outdoor Wellness Area
- Conference room for branch and community use
These additions will also allow for more activities in the gym, such as pickleball, basketball, volleyball and more.
OUR PURPOSE
At the Y, parents find a safe, nurturing environment for their children to stay active, be engaged and learn positive values. Families can come together to have fun and spend quality time with each other. Children and teens play, develop self-confidence and know they are accepted. Adults connect with friends, pursue interests and learn how to live healthier. People from all backgrounds and all walks of life come together to volunteer and help our community become stronger. The Y changes people’s lives.
For over 20 years, the Yadkin Family YMCA has strengthened community. Through the years, the Y has evolved and grown to meet community needs.
