Participants in flag football at the Y will learn skill development and football knowledge in a fun and relaxed environment.
The Y utilizes volunteer coaches to focus on participation and fun! While basic skills of the game are developed through practices and games, every child learns sportsmanship and values necessary to be successful in life. Every game begins with a Youth Sports Pledge and ends with a handshake.
Flag Football in the Spring & Fall for ages 6-14
-One 60-minute practice during the week, plus games on Saturdays. Teams are led by volunteer coaches.
‘Rookie’ Football in the Spring & Fall for ages 3-5
-A weekly session to introduce participants to football. Age appropriate equipment and drills will be used so participants have fun and learn to love football. YMCA staff will coach this program.
