WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The YMCA of Northwest North Carolina is set to host one of its largest fundraisers, the Mistletoe Run, this weekend.
The race, held rain or shine, will take place in Winston-Salem on Saturday, Dec. 6, with the start and finish lines located at the William G. White, Jr. YMCA in West End.
“Mistletoe has become such a beloved tradition in the community,” said YMCA of Northwest North Carolina President and CEO Darryl Head. “It’s more than a race; it’s a celebration of community and compassion. Every stride taken helps provide scholarships for children in need — truly, a run in the cold that warms the heart.”
The Mistletoe Run, presented by Bell Davis and Pitt, is honored to serve as the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina's largest fundraiser, with proceeds benefitting the children in our community by providing financial assistance and funding for youth programming like swim lessons, summer camp, before and after school care and more.
While the course is a USATF sanctioned course, Mistletoe is also an event for the entire family. Whether you are completing your first 5K or an experienced racer, you can kick off your holiday season with the Mistletoe Run at the William G. White, Jr. Family YMCA in downtown Winston-Salem.
Race packet pick up will be at the William G. White, Jr. Family YMCA on Friday, December 5 from 12:00-7:00pm. Packet pick up is held inside the Y, on the second floor basketball courts.
After packet pick up, there will be race day vendors set up, including the return of Kaldi's Coffeehouse & Roastery. Alsies of the Triad, a gourmet ice cream truck that also sells handcrafted treats and nostalgic goodies from years past, will be in the William G. White, Jr. YMCA parking lot from 3:00-6:00pm.

Post-Race Party
Come for the run but stay for the fun! We will have bounce houses, music, vendors, sponsors & more in the parking lot of the Y after the race. Stay and say hello!
Food Zone sponsors: Krispy Kreme & Trader Joe's will be providing our runners with post-race snacks. We are so thankful for them donating their time and delicious treats.
