WINSTON-SALEM — For the fifth-consecutive academic year, the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina, in partnership with local school districts in Alexander, Davie, Forsyth, Iredell, Stokes, Wilkes and Yadkin counties, is offering a teen membership referral initiative to give youth a positive space to thrive at no cost to the teenager or their family.

The Robinhood Road Family YMCA is sharing updates on multiple capital projects happening for the remainder of 2025.

The Winston Lake Family YMCA has been under renovations since July 2024 and will soon reopen to the public.WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - After 11 months of renovations and the additions to the YMCA REACH Center at Winston Lake, the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina has announced the reopening of the Winston Lake YMCA.

Join us in celebrating Adam Cardwell, the Executive Director of the Kernersville Family YMCA, who has been recognized as one of Black Business Ink’s 2025 40 Under 40 Most Influential African Americans in the Triad. This prestigious award honors young professionals who are making a significant impact in businesses and communities across the triad.

The ribbon cutting of the YMCA REACH Center at Winston Lake will be Wednesday, May 14, at 10:00am and we hope you join us to celebrate this momentous occasion in our community! We will also hold an Open House from 11:00am-12:30pm. 

Please join us for National Day of Prayer at the Kernersville Family YMCA in partnership with the Kernersville Christian Ministry Fellowship. This FREE community event is open to all YMCA members, community members, churches, and leaders. This event will include breakfast, prayer, reflection, and fellowship. Ana Williams has been a member of the Yadkin Family YMCA for three years after moving to the area from Charlotte with her three children. When the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina ran a best friend referral campaign, Ana referred her friend Mindy Grace, and her daughter. The referral entered them both into a drawing for a $500 gift card, and they won!
