Taylorsville, N.C. — The YMCA of Northwest North Carolina is proud to now offer 24/7 access to the fitness center at the Alexander County Family YMCA, providing members with greater flexibility to support healthy lifestyles on their own schedules.

The YMCA of Northwest North Carolina, which encompasses seven counties and 13 different branches, has been awarded $10,000 from Y-USA for the Year-Round Universal Food Program.

Stroll into Light awarded William G White Jr Family YMCA $2500 to support the Reaching Our Potential initiative for teens.

The Winston-Salem Foundation has awarded $25,000 to the Robinhood Road Family YMCA to support Let’s Get Fit programming in the under-construction C. Jennings Family Airnasium. 

The United Way of Iredell County awarded the Statesville Family YMCA $25,000 as part of the 2025 Endowment for the Future grants, which are aimed at strengthening the local social service network and creating lasting impact in the community.

WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The YMCA of Northwest North Carolina is set to host one of its largest fundraisers, the Mistletoe Run, this weekend.The race, held rain or shine, will take place in Winston-Salem on Saturday, Dec. 6, with the start and finish lines located at the William G. White, Jr. YMCA in West End.

King, NC — The YMCA of Northwest North Carolina invites YMCA staff, volunteers, and community members to join in the 2025 Christian Leadership Conference (CLC) on Saturday, November 15, at YMCA Camp Hanes. Check-in begins at 8:00 a.m., and the conference runs from 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

North Wilkesboro, N.C. — The North Wilkesboro Rotary Club presented a check for $10,200 to Wilkes YMCA Executive Director Caroline Whitson at the club’s meeting on November 3, 2025.
