Welcome to the Winston Lake Family YMCA

The Winston Lake Family YMCA is in the heart of the East Winston community. Here, we are committed to making your experience at the Y the best possible. We offer a family-oriented atmosphere and activities for people of all ages. When you walk through these doors, you become a part of that family. Our offerings include sports, aquatics, after school academy, day camps during the summer, a wellness center, group exercise classes, and personal training. 

As of July 1, construction has begun at the YMCA REACH Center at Winston Lake and operations have been suspended temporarily. We have a great partnership with Greater Community Missionary Baptist Church enabling us to continue offering our Silver Sneakers, Group Exercise, and Active Older Adults classes and events in our community and with the community built at Winston Lake. Teen Referral Memberships

In a world full of isolation and unrest, it is more important than ever that we keep our young people engaged in positive experiences in healthy, safe environments. Our new initiative offers eligible young people ages 12-18 years old in our communities a FREE membership to access the Y’s fitness facilities, basketball courts, swimming pools, and so much more.

41st Annual Mistletoe Run

You are invited to the most wonderful run of the year! Join us for our 41st annual event December 7. In addition to our half marathon, 5K and 1 mile Fun Run course, we will have bounce houses, music, cheerleaders, community mascots, donuts at the finish line, & more! Every participant will receive a race shirt and 5K and half marathoners will receive finisher medals as they cross the Finish Line! The Mistletoe Run is proud to be the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina's largest fundraiser!

During our Annual Celebration we honored those who have supported our association and contributed to the growth of its mission and impact.
