Congratulations to Huntington Bank of Kernersville on Its Grand Opening!
The Kernersville Family YMCA was honored to serve as Huntington Bank of Kernersville’s nonprofit partner at its Community Launch event on Thursday, August 20, 2026. During the celebration, Huntington Bank presented the Y with a $10,000 donation.
We’re excited to welcome Huntington Bank and its team to the Kernersville community. Thank you to Chris Bryan, Triad Market President, and Nancy Martin, Branch Manager, for choosing to support the Y.
“Our mission is to continue to be involved in and support our community in many ways beyond being a place for people to come for recreation or swim,” said Adam Cardwell, Executive Director of the Kernersville Family YMCA. “We want to be out in the community, building relationships and showcasing how the YMCA gives back to our community that has supported us for so many years.”
As one of 13 branches of the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina, the Kernersville Family YMCA has served our community for more than 53 years. Our mission is “Helping all people reach their God-given potential in spirit, mind and body.” We bring that mission to life through three areas of focus: Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.
Huntington Bank’s gift will help us launch Season of Giving, an extension of our YMCA Bright Beginnings program. Led by Huntington Bank in partnership with Kernersville Elementary School and Walmart, this new initiative aims to support approximately 30 local families experiencing financial hardship during the holiday season. Our goal is to provide each participating child with a new coat, toy, and book.
As Helen Keller said, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” We look forward to working alongside Huntington Bank to make a lasting impact in Kernersville.
