Program Options

Option 1: All YMCA Staff

  • All program components, including homework help, are delivered by counselors in a 1:15 ratio
    • $220 per month for Y members, $270 for program members

Option 2: The Hybrid Model

  • In addition to Y Staff at a 1:15 ratios, certified teachers are hired to provide some targeted tutoring for students and more focused homework support for 1-2 hours, 2-3 days a week
    • $260 per month for Y members, $310 for program members

Option 3: Keeping it in the Family

  • The Y will hire staff from your school, primarily teachers, the deliver the program in a 1:20 ratio.
  • Support staff will operate the first hour of the program until teachers are able to leave the classroom.
    • $300 per month for Before and After School Academy
    • $280 per month for After School Academy only
    • $75 per month for Before School Academy only

Financial Scholarships of up to 60% are available to eligible families at all schools.

Safety Around Water Drowning Prevention

As part of the Y’s commitment to reduce drowning rates and keep kids safe in and around the water, the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina provides at no cost swim instruction and water safety to children from under-served communities.
