Youth & Government

The Youth & Government program is a High School age “Hands-on” experience in State Government. Youth & Government is an educational program that increases awareness of the governmental process and develops skills in the areas of personal development, self-esteem and leadership. There are opportunities for news reporting, writing, debating and lobbying for or against bills. The highlight of the program is a weekend long trip to Raleigh, where the students present and debate Bills in the State Legislative Building.

Introducing the Kernersville delegation! Starting this fall, we will have a delegation serving the students of Bishop McGuiness Catholic High School, East Forsyth High School, Robert B. Glenn High School, and Walkertown High School. For more information, please contact Rain Thoresen at
