'Tis the season...for giving! Three of our YMCAs are bringing the true meaning of the season to our neighbors.

Yadkin Family YMCA

Last year the Yadkin Family YMCA, along with other community organizations, hosted our third “Christmas Blessing Toy Store”: serving more than 50 families and 140 children. Join the Yadkin Family YMCA, Collide Church, Love Out Loud, Maplewood Baptist Church, Peace Haven Baptist Church, Mt. Carmel Friends Church, and Yadkin County Schools to make the holidays merry and bright for families in Yadkinville.

There are several ways to help support this program:

  • Donate to our Annual Impact Fund and designate “Christmas Blessings.” $100 will sponsor 1 child.
  • Join us for a shopping event on December 1 from 4:00-8:00pm at the Elkin Walmart.
  • Volunteer at the family shop day at Collide Church on December 12 from 8:30am-3:30pm. Click here to sign up to volunteer!
  • Get others involved!

Kernersville Family YMCA

We are excited to launch the Season of Giving Initiative, an extension of our YMCA Bright Beginnings program that supports local children and families in need.

Led by Huntington National Bank and in partnership with Kernersville Elementary School and Walmart, we plan to support approximately 30 local families experiencing financial hardship during the holiday season. Through this initiative, our goal is to provide every participating child with brand-new winter essentials, including a coat and gloves, along with a new toy and a new book.

Together, we can bring the true meaning of the season to our neighbors!

There are several ways you can help support this new initiative:

  • MAKE A FINANCIAL GIFT - Donate here to the Kernersville Family YMCA Annual Impact
Fund and designate your gift to the “Season of Giving Initiative.” A gift of $100 will
help support one child with winter essentials, a new toy, and a new book.
  • HOST A DONATION DRIVE - Get your church, civic club, business, organization,
or community group involved by collecting new winter essentials, including coats,
    gloves, and toboggan hats.
  • SPREAD THE WORD - Invite your friends, family members, coworkers, and others
in the community to join us in making the holiday season brighter for local children
    and families.

Sponsors are needed to help provide Christmas for the homeless students we serve at the Y  through the Bridge Academy. Our after school program currently serves 32 students living with the adverse effects of homelessness. The YMCA will shop for these students to insure all items fit properly and meet Tutor Time Educational Guidelines.

We are asking for monetary donations to provide the following for these students this Christmas:

  • $100 will bless a child with a new winter coat, warm hoodie, blanket, grade level
book, and a stress management sensory toy
  • $50 will provide a new winter coat
  • $30 grade level book, blanket, and a stress management sensory toy
  • $20 warm hoodie
  • Any amount will help!
