Impact of the Jerry Long Family YMCA

We served 348 participants in our Before and After School programs and have distributed $61,556 in financial scholarships.

We provided new clothes, shoes, backpacks, and school supplies to 75 students in the Clemmons community. With a total program cost of $10,500 and 85 volunteers who played a crucial role in making this incredible community program a success for all of the students.

In 2024, we served 317 participants in our Evidence-based Health Initiatives across the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina. With over $44,400 provided by the Annual Impact Fund, programs like LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA, a 12-week program for cancer survivors and their families, continues to be offered at no cost.

We awarded $180,100 in financial scholarships in 2024 and currently have over 15,848 members at the Jerry Long Family YMCA.

We have served 50 teens from the Clemmons community actively enrolled in our Teen Referral Membership initiative. Over 741 teens across our association are enrolled in this initiative for at-risk teens.

We served approximately 423 kids in our Summer Day Camp (K-5 and Teens) and distributed $15,848 in financial assistance.

We served 1,609 kids in our swim lessons program and provided $655 in financial assistance. 

There were 128 volunteers serving 1,199 hours at the Jerry Long Family YMCA and in the Clemmons community in 2024.

We served 33 participants in our Safety Around Water program, where we provide swim instruction and water safety to children from underserved communities at no cost.

We served 4,115 kids in our sports programs and awarded $4,352 in financial assistance.
