My Y is Every Y
Now includes access to all YMCA of Northwest North Carolina branches and programs (Alexander County, Davie, Fulton, Innovation Quarter, Jerry Long, Kernersville, Robinhood Road, Statesville, Stokes, Wells Fargo Express, William G. White Jr., Winston Lake, Wilkes, and Yadkin). Click here for more information, including visiting other YMCAs in the United States at no extra charge. YMCA full facility/full privilege members must use their “home branch” the majority of the time. Usage will be monitored over a three month period and your “home branch” will notify you if you are using another branch more and your membership needs to be transferred.

SilverSneakers® is a preventative exercise program that enhances the quality of life for older adults across the country. Retirees and those eligible for Medicare can check with their Health Care provider to see if they qualify for SilverSneakers®, which gives participant a free membership to the Y. Through the program, members gain access to customized SilverSneakers® classes that improve strength, flexibility, balance and endurance. This program combines health, wellness and fitness so seniors feel empowered and build friendships.
Silver & Fit® Memberships
Health plans offer the Silver&Fit® Exercise and Healthy Aging Program to eligible Medicare Advantage/Supplement beneficiaries and group retirees. The program aims to improve quality of life. As a Silver&Fit member, you’ll get to work out more, meet new friends, and be more social. The Silver&Fit program is a product of American Specialty Health Fitness, Inc., a subsidiary of American Specialty Health Incorporated (ASH). Retirees and those eligible for Medicare can check with their Health Care provider to see if they qualify for a Silver&Fit membership, which provides a Y membership at no cost to the participant.
The bank draft plan authorizes your bank to pay the YMCA automatically each month from your checking or savings account. A voided check is required to start. The credit card draft plan authorizes the YMCA to draft your credit card monthly. Membership dues can also be paid 6 to 12 months in advance. The joining fee and first month’s dues are required at time of joining.
This fee is required to begin a new membership and is used to make capital improvements to your YMCA. This fee is non-refundable unless a cancellation occurs within 30 days of joining. Members who let memberships lapse for more than 30 days are required to pay a joining fee upon reactivating their membership.
You are responsible for completing and signing a 10-day written cancellation notice for automatic bank and credit card drafts to be terminated. This notice must be completed and signed by the member 10 days prior to the next draft. Members are also responsible for returning membership cards.
Financial Assistance for membership and/or program fees is available through the YMCA’s Open Doors program to those who qualify. Contact a YMCA branch for more information.
The YMCA reserves the right to cancel any programs or memberships (See Code of Conduct). Satisfaction Guarantee: The YMCA will give a full refund if a member is not satisfied within 30 days of joining, including their Joining Fee (See Cancellations). Refunds and/or enrollment in a substitute program will be made in the event a program is cancelled.
Code of Conduct
Everyone using the YMCA is expected to behave in a mature and responsible way and to respect the rights and dignity of others. The YMCA insists that individuals using this facility demonstrate caring, responsible, respectful and honest behavior. We do not permit profane language or actions that can hurt or frighten another person. Any inappropriate behavior including, but not limited to, aggressive or threatening behavior, harassment of any type, inappropriate language or any inappropriate sexual activity, may result, at the sole discretion of the Branch, in a response from a warning up to and including termination of membership.

Please secure valuables. Do not leave valuables visible in your vehicle. Consider leaving valuables at home if possible or secure in a locker inside the Y. Please report any suspicious activity to a YMCA staff member immediately.

Teens and Pre-Teens
A lot of growing up happens in your teen, tween and in-between years. The Y is a place where Middle and High School members should know that they always fit in. We’ve developed new Middle School and Wellness Orientations to ensure these members are prepared for increased access to our facilities in a safe, fun and successful environment.
