Activities in our curriculum include health and wellness, arts and humanities, science and technology, and service learning projects. Each of the YMCA Before and After School Academy programs are designed with age-appropriate activities created to help your child grow and develop physically, mentally, and spiritually.
The YMCA of Northwest North Carolina partners with local schools and school systems in Davie, Forsyth, Iredell, Stokes, and Wilkes counties to offer both before and after school care onsite in several schools throughout our five-county service area.
Before and After School Academy is part of the YMCA’s history of dedication to youth development. It was established to meet the needs of working parents while providing children with a fun, safe, and enriching environment.
Our program offers a variety of daily activities focusing on the following:
- Academic support
- CATCH curriculum
- Confidence and character development
- Fitness and health education
- Games
- Service learning
- Homework support with certified teachers
- YMCA Healthy eating and physical activity standards
- Healthy snacks
- Guest speakers and demonstrations
- Arts and crafts
- So much more!
Financial Scholarships are available through our Open Doors program
If your child is a Member at at YMCA outside the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina, they still qualify for Member pricing. However, you will need to come into a YMCA branch to register.
