Q: What time will the Fulton Family pool be open?
A: Through Friday, June 23, the Fulton Family YMCA pool will be open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 7:30-11:30am. However, due to staffing challenges, morning hours for lap swimming will not be available after June 23, 2023.

Q: Will the Fulton pool be open long term?
A: Based on usage and staffing, the last day for lap swimming will be Friday, June 23, 2023. The pool will need to remain closed through at least August for repairs. 

Q: Why can I only swim at these times?
A: Our TYDE Swim Team uses the pool for practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays and then our summer camp participants will use it in the afternoon. 

Q: Do I need to reserve a lane for lap swim?
A: No reservations are necessary, but pool capacity will be limited to 25 at one time.

Q: Can my entire family swim together at the Fulton Pool if we only use one lane?
A: Yes. Please be respectful of fellow lap swimmers and know that the pool capacity will be 25.

Q: Will the pool open on weekends?
A: We will monitor pool usage to determine if additional hours and days are needed.

Q: Do I enter and check in at the front desk?
A: Members will not enter through the traditional front entrance. Signage will direct members to the back of the building for entrance into the pool area. Members will scan in at a special kiosk on the pool deck.

Q: Will the Fulton pool be open long term?
A: We will monitor usage and staffing to determine if it can remain open for lap swimming beyond this time; however, the pool will need to close in August for repairs. 

Q: Can I bring a guest with me to swim?
A: Guests will not be allowed at this time.

Q: Can I use my nationwide membership to swim?
A: We are not allowing reciprocal nationwide memberships at this facility at this time.

Q: Will I have access into the locker rooms?
A: Yes, members will have access into the locker rooms.

Q: Can I use the whirlpool, steam room or sauna on the pool deck?
A: These amenities will remain closed at this time. Only the pool and locker rooms will be accessible.

Q: If I need to make a change to my membership, can I do that at Fulton?
A: At this time, we cannot make any changes to your membership at the branch. Please contact the Member Services Center at 336 777 8055 option 8 and they can assist you with membership and program questions Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm.

Q: Why is the Fulton pool reopening and not the entire building?
A: Since late 2020, the Fulton Family YMCA has been open as a youth recreation program center, housing after school programs, summer camps, youth sports, and our TYDE swim team. During this time, the YMCA has continued conversations with partners to enable us to fully open the facility in a way that is financially sustainable to the organization and impactful to the community.

Q: When will Fulton fully open for members? 
A: While we continue conversations with potential partners, the YMCA will continue to balance operating the pool for membership and serving as a youth recreation and program center.

Q: If I have canceled my membership and want to join again, do I have to pay a joining fee?
A: Unless there is an active membership promotion, joining fees will not be waived. Memberships will need to be purchased with another branch other than Fulton as your home branch.
