The Statesville Family YMCA is constantly growing and expanding the youth and adult sports program. The program hosts a variety of sports for all ages. All youth leagues focus on teaching youth teamwork, friendships, skills and respect for coaches, players and self. If you are interested in a particular sport please note the registration and season dates on our website. You can also call the front desk for further details.
Parents must sign a code of conduct prior to their child being allowed to play in sports.
Summer Basketball Camp
Whether your child is looking to make new friends, improve sports skills or just have a great time, the Y has the answer. Our Basketball Camp centers on our five character development traits of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith. Learn the skills necessary to take your game to the next level.

The YMCA Dance Academy is committed to providing quality dance instruction in a fun and safe environment. We work with our students to develop their skills and assist them in building a positive self-image. Children learn to appreciate dance as a life-long activity for self-expression, grace, agility, creativity and balance. Classes for all ages; Baby Ballet, Preschool Dance Classes, Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Hip Hop, Acro Dance, and Musical Theatre. Adult Dance Classes offered in Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Hip Hop. Classes run September through end of May, with a recital at the end of the year. We’ll have it in Gym 3 at the Statesville branch on Tuesdays and Thursdays for open play between 9:30am and 12:00pm and at the Barium Springs gym on Fridays between 8:30-11:30am.

The YMCA Sports program is always looking for great volunteers to help out with various aspects of the program. Our sports leagues are 100% volunteer driven, meaning that every single coach out on the fields is a volunteer. We value these individuals and without them, our terrific programs would not be possible.
