Healthy & Fit
Aerial Yoga is a type of yoga which uses a hammock to allow participants to perform postures that may not ordinary be able to attempt on the yoga mat. Combines traditional yoga with moves inspired by pilates and dance. Aerial yoga’s benefits are strengthening the body, decompressing the spine, improving circulation, boosting digestion, and lifting one’s mood. What is uFit?
uFit is a program that provides you with an easy-to-follow plan and cutting edge fitness tools. You will not be alone in this process. Our highl
y trained staff will help you set attainable goals and will provide the ongoing support necessary for your success.
In three short meetings, we can take you from an exercise skeptic to a confident individual who is excited about working out. In just a few sessions, you will gain the tools and resources that will help you succeed.
You will finally learn what really works in terms of exercise, weight loss, and having more energy – not to mention just becoming healthier. This program is valued at $150, but offered at no cost to all new members. You are encouraged to sign up within the first week of your membership.

Looking for a great workout that is also low impact? Sweat Wet is our evening water fitness program for shallow and deep water exercise. You do not need to know how to swim to participate. And you won’t have to get your hair wet! Participants should feel comfortable in the water and be ready to work in all water depths.

Group Exercise Classes
Classes are open to all exercise levels, with alternative movements offered for different skill levels to maximize your personal workout. Our instructors are happy to give additional guidance to beginners, just introduce yourself before class! Minimum age is 14 years (with a parent) at Family Y.
Work with a certified YMCA Personal Trainer to achieve your desired fitness goals. Regardless of age or fitness level, one-on-one training can provide:
- Weight loss/management
- Increased strength, endurance and flexibility
- Post-rehabilitation conditioning
- Disease management and prevention
- Off-season training
- Pre-event conditioning
