About Camp Corral:
Camp Corral offers recreational programs designed specifically to empower America’s military children to make connections, build coping skills, and increase self-confidence. Created in 2011, Camp Corral has served more than 33,000 military children from every state in the nation. Summer Camp is offered to children (ages 8 to 15) of wounded, ill, and fallen military service members and veterans. Camp Corral helps build life skills to empower strong, resilient, independent individuals.

We are proud to be one of the partner camps that has the next stage of Camp Corral for campers aged out (16-17yr). It is a two year commitment of monthly education and skill building calls with your camp director and Camp Corral campers/directors from others Corral partner camps across the U.S.! You work on skills that prepare you for leadership within the next stages of life in addition to preparing to join our team as a CIT and future staff. We are proud to partner with Camp Corral to serve campers of wounded, ill, or fallen military heroes. This is the ultimate 6-day sleepaway camp experience for military children ages 8 to 15! Campers go home with new skills, friendships, and memories that will last a lifetime. Campers get to experience a Camp Hanes week with Camp Corral flair! Check-in starts at 2:00 pm on Sunday and Check-out starts at 3:30 am on Friday. Groups and activities are facilitated by professionally trained camp counselors and program instructors.

Some of the ways our themes come into camp is that each morning at flag pole we sing a song to Mr. Zip Zip and he comes out and enacts a short skit each morning based off of the theme. We also have themed dress up days at camp and on Thursday is the day we dress specifically for the theme of the week.
For the other days of the week our dress up themes are:
Tuesday: Tutu, Tie-dye, and tall socks
Wednesday: Wild West Wednesday
Thursday: Weekly Theme Day
YMCA Camp Hanes Registration Refund & Cancellation Policy
Deposit: A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of registration to secure your camper’s spot.
Cancellation Deadline: Cancellations made on or before May 15th, 2026 are eligible for a refund of fees paid, minus the non-refundable deposit.
After May 15th, 2026: All camp fees are due in full. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after this date, regardless of the reason, as staff, supplies, and program resources have already been secured for the summer.
Session Changes: Campers may switch sessions (change weeks) at no additional cost prior to May 15th, 2026. After May 15th, 2026, deposits are non-transferable and any changes are subject to full session tuition charges.
