The nationally-ranked TYDE Swim Team recently launched a new program structure. With the leadership of new head coach Bob Jennings the redesigned program is intended to better suit the needs of swimmers of all ages.
“We saw a need to better target practice groups to meet the specific range of abilities and commitment levels among our swimmers,” says Jennings.
The program structure involves three levels:
Introduction to swim team, focused on technique development and fitness
Meets & stroke clinics offered, not required
Year-round, seasonal, or by session
Move up by age or placement to TYDE Competitive
Grouped by age
Competition focused with an emphasis on continued technique development, goal-setting and group progression
Meets and additional memberships required
Move up by meeting next level standards and coach recommendation at specific times of the year
Grouped by age, ability, and commitment levels
Fitness and performance focused
Meets offered, but not required
All ages 18+
Geared for swimmers, triathletes, and fitness enthusiasts of all levels
