UFIT: Helping You Get The Results You Want

What is uFit? 

uFit is a program that provides you with an easy-to-follow plan and cutting edge fitness tools. You will not be alone in this process. Our highly trained staff will help you set attainable goals and will provide the ongoing support necessary for your success.

In three short meetings, we can take you from an exercise skeptic to a confident individual who is excited about working out. In just a few sessions, you will gain the tools and resources that will help you succeed.

You will finally learn what really works in terms of exercise, weight loss, and having more energy – not to mention just becoming healthier. This program is valued at $150, but offered at no cost to all new members. You are encouraged to sign up within the first week of your membership.

Senior Fitness Programs

Mondays

Sassy Seniors class 11:00-11:45AM
(Low Impact cardio class mixed with muscular strength and balance moves)

Thursdays

Senior Frenzy 1:00-2:00PM
(Tough cardio and strength class)

Tuesdays and Thursdays

Silver Sneakers class 11:00-11:45AM
(This class will focus on muscular strength, balance, coordination, and range of movement. Light hand weights, small rubber balls, resistance bands, and chairs will be used)

Wednesdays and Fridays

Sizzlin’ Seniors class 11:00-11:45AM
(A higher intensity cardio class including dance moves, kickboxing, and walking)


Personal Training

Here at the Kernersville Y, our personal trainers can help you with weight loss, body toning, sport specific training, injury prevention, and post rehabilitation. Plus, we can help you develop goals and work towards achieving your goals to build a healthier you! Get the results you’re looking for from one of our nationally certified trainers to create proven, powerful, and effective workouts through years of experience. Your trainer will be your source of motivation, encouragement, accountability, and a resource for the latest information.

We offer one-on-one training as well as small group training for you and up to 4 friends.

No matter what your goal is, personal training can help you achieve it. Have it your way:

Be Healthy!

Stroke Recovery Program

Founded in 1999 by a recovering stroke survivor; Millennium Team uses fitness training to help stroke survivors regain their strength, balance, and control.  Millennium Team also works with those recovering from other physically disabling illnesses, such as:  TBI, Multiple Sclerosis, and Muscular Atrophy.

Each client will work one-on-one with a Certified Personal Trainer.  All progress is recorded and tracked.  Each client’s program is re-evaluated as progress is achieved.  Exercise programs are designed to address each client’s specific situation, and may include (but are not limited to):  weight training, cardiovascular exercise, water exercise classes, stretching, balance, coordination, and range of motion exercises.

Training sessions are done at the Kernersville YMCA, allowing full access to all of the YMCAs fitness training resources.

Cost

$15 – $25 per 1 hour session
