The Kernersville Family YMCA receives a Large Donation from the State

The Kernersville Family YMCA was presented with a $1 million check from North Carolina House Representative Donny Lambeth (District 75). The funding is a result of a request made by the YMCA to the State of North Carolina earlier this year to enhance and expand its campus, benefiting the Kernersville community and beyond.

We are so excited for the opportunity this gives us to improve and better help all people reach their full potential.

Let's Get Fit

“Let's Get Fit" is a specialized fitness initiative tailored for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, the IDD Community. Through this program, participants enhance their fitness, make new friends, and benefit from the physical and mental well-being within our inclusive YMCA community. A free YMCA membership is included with consistent participation. Donations to the Annual Impact Fund make sure this program is available at no cost!

Thank You for 40 Years of Mistletoe

Thank you for joining us this year and for all 40 years! The Mistletoe Run is the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina's largest fundraiser and proceeds benefit the children in our community by providing financial assistance and funding for youth programming like swim lessons, summer camp, before and after school care and more!

Community Impact

We're proud to serve the people of Northwest North Carolina. In 2022, we launched new community programs, invested in our facilities and equipment, and continued to demonstrate that the Y is a safe place for all to focus on their health — spiritually, mentally and physically.

How Can You Help?

The YMCA has a mission of helping all people reach their God-given potential in spirit, mind and body. We also strive to turn no one away due to an inability to pay a program or membership fee. Our goal is to serve as many people in the community as possible that can benefit from our services. We can’t do that without your help.

Our Mission:

"Helping all people reach their God-given

potential in spirit, mind and body."
