Summer Sports Registration Is Opening Monday!

At the Y, sports and recreational activities are something special. Friendly competition (even with yourself), lots of variety, and a supportive environment make team sports and recreation fun again. This combination also makes for a healthier lifestyle. Financial assistance is available.

At the Y, every pass, shot and point builds skills that last long after the final whistle. Through the guidance of our dedicated staff and VOLUNTEER COACHES, athletes learn what true sportsmanship and teamwork look like- on and off the court of field. Academy and Rookie Sports programs will include one weekday session with a YMCA coach.

Summer sports will include a weeknight practice and weeknight game. No weekends! Practices will be limited to 3-5 for the season depending on sport chosen. Our fast-paced summer leagues are geared towards players that already have a basic understanding of sports. Players new to basketball or volleyball may struggle to keep up with the pace of this league.

Summer Sports Camp

Sports Camps at Camp Play Ball reach far beyond developing youth's skills in the sports they love. Summer is a time to get outside or on the court, enjoy time with friends, be active, improve or learn a new sport and have fun! Our high energy coaches pride themselves on making this a reality for every child. Come enjoy the summer like it was meant to be enjoyed. Camps consist of drills, skill development, conditioning, competition games, scrimmages and character development.

Need all day care though? Combine half-day of sports camp with half-day of traditional day camp for a full day a fun! Camp staff will ensure your camper transitions safely from one camp to another.

Family-Friendly Registration Process
(All sports except Stokes Volleyball & Basketball League ages 9+)

Our registration process will allow you to choose the practice day and time that is most convenient for your family. The practice day and time that you choose at registration will determine your team. Early registration is strongly encouraged as each team has a set number of participants and once a practice day and time has reached its player capacity that team will be full.

Skills Evaluations & Coaches' Draft
(All Girls Basketball League)

For all basketball league ages 9+ and volleyball at Stokes, the Y will host pre-season evaluations and formal coaches' drafts. All participants must attend one evaluation as teams will be drafted by coaches using the results from these evaluations.

Players must be available to practice on the nights listed. No requests will be considered.  Team Assignment emails will be sent no later than Thursday, June 4. For more information, click below.

Process and Dates

PLAYERSPACE

This is an online sports platform that is utilized for simplifying communication among coaches, players and YMCA sports staff. PLAYERSPACE is where you will find your roster, practice and game schedules, as well as contact information for those on your team. A PLAYERSPACE account will be created for the Primary Person on your DAXKO account after registration is complete (unless you have one prior with the same primary email on file). You will be emailed your account log-in credentials two weeks prior to the season and emailed your team assignment the Thursday prior to the season start date. (Be sure to check your spam folder as emails often go to spam initially.) PLAYERSPACE will be used for basketball, soccer, flag football, t-ball/baseball and volleyball.
