Group Exercise – Class Descriptions

Abs – This 30 minute class concentrates on working the abdominal muscles- a region we tend to skip if working out on our own!

Belly Dance – This 30 minute class will introduce you to basic belly dancing moves. You will learn things like hip circles, shimmys, muscle isolation and much more! Give it a try.

Body Blast – Feel the burn as you use hand weights, exercise tubing and even your own body weight to strengthen, tone and define every major muscle group.

Core and More – This class will use a variety of equipment and concentrate on core work (abs, back and hips), giving you a strong mid-section. Yoga will be taught during the last 30 minutes, so you can leave class feeling flexible and relaxed.

Cross Train – Come try this Boot Camp style class that incorporates strength, cardiovascular exercise and circuit training.

Cycle Classes – An instructor will lead you up and down hills, through sprints and changes in tempo to improve your cardiovascular fitness. Signing up to reserve your bike is recommended, but not required to participate. Call or stop by the front desk to reserve your spot!

Kardio Kraze – This 30 minute class will condition your heart with a mixture of moves that will get you blood pumping!

Kettlebell Pump – This class will improve your overall fitness level!  You will use kettlebell weights to strengthen and tone the body.

Masala Bhangra® – This class modernizes the high-energy folk dance of Bhangra by blending traditional Bhangra dance steps and the exhilaration of Bollywood (Hindi film) moves, seen recently in the Oscar winning film Slumdog Millionaire. This class mixes cardiovascular fitness with fun.

Metabolic Effect® – This 30 minute class will transform your body! Quickly move through a series of circuits that will change the way your body metabolizes food. This class offers a high intensity workout.  Meet in the gym.

Power Yoga – A flow of Yoga poses linked with the breath to improve strength, flexibility and balance.

Pure Strength – The primary focus of this class is strength training. You will use a variety of equipment to help tone your muscles and improve strength.

Silver Sneakers® – A class specifically designed with the older adult in mind. This class starts with a warm-up and then moves to exercises to improve range of motion, muscular strength and balance.  Hand held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball are provided for resistance and a chair is offered for seated and/or standing support.

Sports Conditioning – Anything goes during this 30 minute lunchtime class. Come prepared to work hard. You will do a variety of exercises including sports drills, running and outdoor exercise!

Yoga – Learn the poses, breathing, and relaxation of this exercise practice as you strengthen and stretch your body.

Yoga Lite – This class offers a traditional yoga workout, but poses are not held as long.

Zumba® – This class fuses aerobics with Latin dance! Come prepared to have fun and get a heart pumping cardiovascular workout!
