The Yadkin Family YMCA has served the local community for 10 years and offers a wide range of programs for the whole family including swim lessons and camps, as well as a comprehensive Wellness Center with on-duty staff, group exercise programs, and SilverSneakers® classes. Yadkin GO FAR 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run
The Yadkin GO FAR 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run will be held Saturday, November 22!
Every child deserves to go far! Children come in all shapes and sizes with different interests and abilities. All children deserve the chance to discover the things they do well, activities they enjoy, and basic steps to living long and healthy lives.
Yadkin County Elementary Schools (3-6) will be participating in a 10-week comprehensive program that promotes healthy eating habits, physical activity, goal setting, good character, and self-confidence. After the 10-week program, students will participate in the Yadkin GO FAR 5k with other students and the community.
Help support this initiative by participating in the Yadkin GO FAR 5k!
The race will start/finish at Yadkin Valley Community Hospital.
1 Mile Fun Run starts at 9:00am
GO FAR 5K starts at 9:30am
Awards Ceremony 10:30am
Students participating from the Yadkin County School System grades 3-8 will run at a discounted rate.
For other participating, the fees are as follows:
Register by November 1: $20.00
After November 1: $25.00
On Race Day: $30.00
1 Mile Fun Run: $5.00
Checks payable to Yadkin Family YMCA.
Friday, November 21 from 5-7pm at the Yadkin Family YMCA at 6540 Service Road in Yadkinville.
Race t-shirts are only guaranteed to those who register early and who participate in the 5k race. Fun Run participants will receive a completion ribbon.
