British Soccer Camp

The Y is partnering with Challenger Sports for a special summer 2012 British Soccer Camp!

The week-long British Soccer camp will be held during the week of July 30 – August 3 at Rivers Edge Soccer Complex, Stokes St, Wilkesboro, NC 28697.

The camp will run Monday through Friday and each child will be coached by a member of Challenger’s British coaching staff flown to the USA exclusively to work on these programs. Challenger’s British Soccer Camp is more than a week of drills and skills. In addition to taking part in a daily regimen of foot skill development (through the 1,000 touches curriculum), technical and tactical practices and daily ‘World Cup’ tournament style plays, each child will be treated to a rich cultural experience and lessons on respect, responsibility, integrity, leadership and sportsmanship.

Register online here.

Each camper will receive a FREE camp T-shirt, soccer ball, soccer poster, individual skills
performance evaluation and free access to an educational soccer website.

Sports Volunteer

The YMCA Sports program is always looking for great volunteers to help out with various aspects of the program. Our sports leagues are 100% volunteer driven, meaning that every single coach out on the fields is a volunteer. We value these individuals and without them, our terrific programs would not be possible. If you are interested in volunteering pick up the volunteer application at the front desk.
