At the Wilkes Family YMCA, we offer a wide variety of Wellness programs from Personal Training to Group Exercises (including Group Cycling, Aerobics and Yoga & Pilates) and Specialty Programs.

 


CPR/AED, O2, First Aid Class Schedule 2012

CPR/AED: $25 members and potential members

First Aid: $25 members and potential members

O2: $15 members and potential members

All In One:  $45 members and potential members

Prerequisites Prior to Course: Must be 16 years old $45 members and potential members

Schedule: Friday 6-9pm, Saturday 9am-5pm
Session 1 March 2nd-3rd
Session 2 May 4th-5th
Session 3 August 3rd-4th
Session 4 November 2nd-3rd

For your convenience we would be happy to add you to our “Certifications” e-mail list. We send a personal e-mail reminding you when a class is beginning and we’ll even e-mail you the registration form. If you take a class we will occasionally take pictures and we e-mail them to you. We will NOT bog your e-mail down with junk mail. If you are interested in receiving e-mails notifying you or reminding you when a class starts or you would like a registration form sent to you or if you have questions, please e-mail me at k.green@ymcanwnc.org. We are more than happy to accommodate businesses, non-profits, and schools that have several employees that need certifying. Please contact us to make arrangements.


Baby Boogie

Ages: 1-5 years

Baby Boogie is a 30 minute class, which will incorporate music, movement, stories, ballet, gymnastics, flexibility, yoga and strength for caregivers and children. Baby Boogie will be taught by Deanna Franklin in our Aerobics Room. For more info, contact Heather Barnes at h.barnes@ymcanwnc.org.

Senior Cheerleading Squad

Ages: 55+, coed

Personal Training

Personal Training

Work with a certified YMCA Personal Trainer to achieve your desired fitness goals. Regardless of age or fitness level, one-on-one training can provide:

  1. Weight loss/management
  2. Increased strength, endurance and flexibility
  3. Post-rehabilitation conditioning
  4. Disease management and prevention
  5. Off-season training
  6. Pre-event conditioning

Fitness Evaluation

Includes body composition, flexibity, blood pressure, cardiovascular and muscular endurance testing.

Cost: $20 members/$35 potential members

1 hour session:
Individual: $45 Members/$60 potential members
2 person: $70 Members/$100 potential members
3 person: $90 Members/$135 potential members
4 person: $130 members/$180 potential members

1/2 hour session:
Individual: $30 Members/$40 Potential Members
2 person: $40 Members/$50 Potential Members
3 person: $50 Members/$60 Potential Members
4 person: $55 members/$65 Potential Members

Personal Training Packages

6 sessions: $240 Members/$330 Potential Members
12 sessions: $455 Members/$695 Potential Members

Sports Conditioning/Skill Development Training

For our recreational and competition athletes we offer sports-specific skill development and conditioning for several different sports, including: Football, Basketball, Track & Field, Tennis, Soccer, Baseball/Softball, Wrestling, Field Hockey, Lacrosse, and Swimming.

Individual: $50 Members/$60 potential members
2 person: $70 Members/$80 potential members
3 person: $85 Members/$95 potential members
4 person: $90 members/$100 potential members
