Spring Sports Preseason Timeline
Team Requests:
All finalized player, coach, night requests are due by February 28th. Please send the request to the Sports Director via e-mail.
Team Assignments: All parents will be notified via e-mail their child’s team assignment by March 5th
Practices: Practices will start the week of March 12th
Game Dates: March 24, April 14, April 21, April 28, May 5, May 12, Week of May 14-18, May 19.
Equipment Needed: Equipment in bold is required equipment for the program. Soccer equipment and cleats can be found at the Soccer Shop located on Reynolda Road. All other equipment can be found at any local Sporting Goods Store.
Soccer: Shinguards, Size 3 soccer ball (Ages 3 – 7), Size 4 soccer ball (Ages 8 and up)
Jersey Pickup: Jerseys will be available for pickup from the Soccer Shop on Sunday, March 11th from 4pm – 6pm
T-Ball: Glove
Flag Football: None required. Ages 4 – 7 will use a Pee Wee size football, Ages 8 and up will use a Junior size football
Cheerleading: None required as of now
Volleyball: Knee pads and a volley-lite volleyball are recommended
Girls Lacrosse: Eye protection and lacrosse stick
Kickball: No extra equipment needed
Coaches Information
Coaches Meeting: For anyone interested in coaching soccer, t-ball, flag football, kickball or lacrosse we will meet on February 28th to go over expectations of the YMCA and hand out coaches packets and rules. The meeting will be from 6:00pm – 7:00pm.
Association Coaches Training: March 10th from 10am – 12pm at the Jerry Long YMCA
Other Information
Summer Camp and Summer Sports Program Registration will begin March 15th.

Youth Sports
In Y youth sports programs, kids meet new friends, build skills, develop interests and try new things in a supportive environment. At this time the Robinhood Family YMCA does not have a youth sports program, but soccer, basketball, t-ball, and other great options are available at the William G. White, Jr. Family YMCA and Jerry Long Family YMCA, as well as other branches.

Next Level Sports Performance Camp
Looking to gain a competitive edge in your sport? At the Robinhood Y, we have the conditioning program that is right for you. The Next Level is a sport-specific training camp designed to help you become stronger, faster and better prepared for game day. Whether you’re a high school athlete looking to prepare for college, or someone who is just starting out, we have the trainers and state-of-the-art equipment that will take you to the next level.
Cost: $150 (minimum participants: 5)
