Teen Xtreme at the Y

Get in shape. Feel your best

Whether you want to try out for a sports team or just know how to exercise safely and feel your best, Teen Xtreme can help you reach those goals. Meet new friends, bring your teammates, and find the fun and motivation you need to make your strength/cardio exercises effective. Exercise isn’t all about what happens in the gym either, working out can help you feel more confident and do better in school. Teen Xtreme is a 12-week, small group progressive program for strength training and weight loss. This program is for middle and high school students.

Learn to use strength training machines and free weights, along with cardio training and nutrition information to build healthy habits that last a lifetime.

Join us for the Information Session to learn more, including days/times:
Tuesday, May 29 from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Saturday, June 2 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am

Program will meet twice a week from June 25 – August 3

Hot Hatha Yoga Studio at the Robinhood Family YMCA
Our new state of the art Hot Yoga Studio provides a place to improve your balance, strength and flexibility. Take your fitness and health to a new level as you strengthen every muscle, tendon, gland and organ in your body. The heated room provides a safe place to enhance flexibility and proper alignment while detoxifying the body through sweating.

What is Hot Hatha Yoga?
This class is a 90-minute challenging sequence of Yoga postures designed to strengthen the spine. The lineage comes from 84 postures in Calcutta, India. Through a series of standing, balancing, floor and breathing exercises, you will safely achieve greater strength, flexibility, overall health and vitality as you breather from one posture to the next. The room is heated in order to help safely align the body, allow for deeper stretch and opening and aid in detoxification. In other words, the heat will enhance your yoga postures. You don’t have to be flexible to do this class. All you need to do is breathe and try the right way.  Be prepared to sweat and try your best. Beginners and advanced yogis will enjoy this class. Avoid eating approximately 2-3 hours prior to class. Bring your  yoga mat, big towel, water, positive attitude, and a smile!

4 one hour sessions: $175 members/$255 potential members
8 one hour sessions: $345 members/$505 potential members

Boot Camps & Specialty Trainings

Boot camps and specialty trainings are a great way to kick-start your fitness goals or to break through a weight loss plateau.  At the Robinhood Y, our certified trainers utilize unique equipment and great workouts to help you reach your potential. Youth Fit

Ages: K through 5th grade

Group exercise classes just for kids. All classes are held in the Youth Activity Center.
(Please note: If your child is in the Youth Activity Center during the scheduled class time, they will be encouraged to participate as all other activities and games will stop until the class finishes).

Get On Your Weigh

Ages: Adult

Move It, Use It, Lose It! The Get on Your Weigh is a 12-week weight management program created to change your lifestyle into a healthy habit.

Your registration includes:

  • A certified personal trainer
  • Weekly group workouts
  • Weekly weigh-in and bi-weekly measurements
  • Nutrition sessions
  • Food and exercise journal
  • 2 fitness assessments
  • Get on Your Weigh T-shirt
  • Free Calorie King book and YMCA bag
  • LOTS of team and coach support

1st place winner receives a 3-month adult membership! Must be medically 40lbs overweight and have doctor’s consent to participate.

Group Exercise Classes

Group Exercise classes are our classes that focus on cardio and/or strength.

Mind / Body classesare classes like Yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi – that focus on flexibility, core muscles and/or stress relief. These classes also include our Silver Sneakers classes which are designed for our seniors or members with limited mobility.

Cycle classes are our cardio classes on stationary bicycles.
