Group Exercise Class Descriptions

*Classes listed with an asterisk means the class will occur in gym #3

BODYATTACK™ -A sports inspired cardio workout for building strength and stamina.  This high-energy interval training class combines athletic movements with strength and stabilization exercises.  Dynamic instructors and powerful music motivate everyone toward their fitness goals- whether beginner athlete to weekend warrior to hard-core sports enthusiast.  This class will begin in as a 45-minute format to introduce all options and gradually progress training with ease.

BODYSTEP™ – An energizing step workout that makes you feel liberated and alive. Using a height-adjustable step and simple movements on, over and around the step you get huge motivation from sing-a-long music and approachable instructors. Cardio blocks push fat burning systems into high gear followed by muscle conditioning tracks that shape and tone your body.

BODYCOMBAT™ – An empowering cardio workout where you are totally unleashed. This fiercely energetic program is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as karate, boxing, taekwondo, tai chi and muay thai. Supported by driving music and powerful role model instructors, you strike, punch, kick and kata your way through calories to superior cardio fitness.

BODYPUMP™ – A revolutionary group strength-training program that challenges every major muscle in your body. BODYPUMP is appealing to men and women for all ages and is ideal for beginners and enthusiasts seeking weight training. Participants will see REAL results- REAL fast!

Cardio Lite – A total body workout for the exerciser who needs it all with minimal time to spare… cardio, strength and core work for a 45 minute class.

CXWORX™ – is the Personal Training Inspired Core Class that’s been formulated with a carefully structured, scientific approach and unforgiving intensity (with options of reduced intensity).  It has been designed to tighten and tone the abs, glutes, back, obliques and “slings” connecting the upper and lower body, improve functional strength, and assist in injury prevention like nothing else.  In a class time of 30 minutes, CXWORX™ WILL GET YOU RESULTS WHERE IT COUNTS MOST!

Sculpt – A total body workout utilizing a variety of resistance equipment to strengthen and tone major muscle groups of the body.

Zumba – A Latin & hip-hop dance class infused for an aerobic interval workout combining fast and slow rhythms; class time = 1 hour.

Zumba Xpress – The same great class just 45 minutes of work.

Indoor Cycle Class Descriptions

*Joy Riders - Designed for those “seasoned in life” and ready to ride! This is a 45 minutes interactive class. Please note: priority goes to those who are 50+years of age with class sign-up and attendance.

RPM™ – The great interval training class where you ride to the rhythm of powerful music to a calorie burning endorphin high!

RPM™ (35min) – Guaranteed to be the same great class as described above, providing a total experience in 35 minutes!

RPM™ (60min) – A full hour of the ride of your life!

*Weekend Cruiser – a 45-minute interactive ride with the emphasis on fun!

Road Map for Success
All cyclists need a towel, water bottle, and low ankle height tennis shoes or cycling shoes for each ride.

New cyclists that have not attended a class prior should arrive to class 15 minutes early to allow bike set-up, “bike fit” and general instruction.

To ensure safety, we ask that no one join a cycle class after the doors close and the instructor begins. This would also include riders who begin class and choose to leave early. Upon leaving we ask that you take all belongings & wait to re enter until after class is completed.

Be sure to call #712-2000 24 hours prior “on the hour” for class sign up.

Mind Body Class Descriptions

BODYFLOW™ – A Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility & strength leaving you feeling centered & calm. Controlled breathing, concentration & a carefully structured series of stretches, moves & poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance. Approx. 55-60 min.

BODYFLOW Xpress – Enjoy this BODYFLOW class (as listed above) but with total time being 40-45 minutes in length!

Pilates – Based on the 20th century developer, Joseph Pilates, developing the skill to allow the mind to control the muscle movement. Focuses on core postural muscles to keep the body balanced.

SilverSneakers® Muscular Strength- Have fun & move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of motion, and activity for daily living skills.  Hand-held weights, elastic tubing w/ handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, as well as chair use for seated&/or standing support.

SilverSneakers® Cardio Circuit – This is an advanced class designed for Silver Sneaker® students who desire more cardiovascular and muscular endurance. It’s a non-impact cardiovascular conditioning class presented in a circuit format w/ alternating resistance tool work & aerobic conditioning!

Stretch and Recover – This is a wonderful one-hour class that takes you through a variety of stretching, breathing and body awareness exercises.

Yoga I – Designed to introduce the practice of Hatha yoga, providing emphasis with proper alignment, breathing, relaxation and meditation.

Yoga II – This class focuses mainly on intermediate level yoga poses. Challenges are provided by a flow of energy as you move from one pose to another. Basic knowledge of Yoga is encouraged.

Yoga Focus & Feel – Approximately 30 minutes, this instructional class is designed to help Yoga participants of all levels, from beginner to advanced, get the most out of their poses by focusing on proper form and technique.  A variety of positions will be practiced and hands on will be offered.

All classes will be held in the multi-purpose room.
Please note all classes are taught with progressions that are mindful of the beginner!
