Fulton Family YMCA

Childcare

Many people do not realize that, as a whole, the YMCA is the largest provider of child care in the United States. We believe that the quality of child care cannot be undervalued and thus every YMCA program is grounded in our character development traits of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith.

Activities in our curriculum include health and wellness, arts and humanities, science and technology and service learning projects. Each of the YMCA Child Care programs are designed with age appropriate activities created to help your child grow and develop physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Information on program specifics may be obtained through our YMCA Parent Handbook.

Before & After School

Grades: 6-8

The Fulton Family YMCA’s Middle School After School Program is designed to help youth reach their God-given potential in spirit, mind and body. Youth in the program develop the skills they need to be a contributing member of the Winston-Salem community. Students participate in activities that reinforce core values such as caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith and give them the chance to make better decisions later in life. Youth are surrounded daily by caring role models who help them grow and learn. Additionally, the program adapts to the changing needs of the youth served and focuses on three elements: 1) homework assistance 2) physical fitness and 3) enrichment activities.
