Schedules
Classes are open to all exercise levels, with alternative movements offered for different levels to maximize your personal workout. Our instructors are also happy to give additional guidance to beginners, just introduce yourself before class!
After completing a Wellness Orientation, Middle School students can participate in group exercise classes where no weighted equipment is used. High School students may attend any group exercise class.
Group Fitness Class Descriptions
BODYPUMPTM– Is the original barbell class that strengthens your entire body. This 60 minute workout challenges all your major muscle groups. (Must be 15 or older to participate.)
KETTLEBELL CHALLENGE– Experience 45 minutes of Cardio Conditioning with the use of one tool. This class is based on a sequence of exercises to get your heart rate up with controlled movement to build muscular strength and endurance.
CYCLE – focuses on proper alignment and cycling techniques using specifically designed studio bikes. Participants may wish to wear padded shorts or bring a gel seat cushion. Bring towel and water – you control your own pace, so it’s perfect for anyone looking for a challenging non-impact workout. (Must be 60” tall to participate.)
ENERGIZE LOW – this a fun, energetic, low-impact cardio class – with easy to learn dance-based cardio moves.
HIP HOP FITNESS DANCE- this a high energy class, allowing you to perform with freedom of movement. It’s bouncy, fast, and funky. You will learn contemporary-street style type of dance, with a hint of Latin flavor.
PILATES – strengthens and lengthens core muscles. Breathing control and flexibility exercises are used to restore muscular balance, improve posture, body alignment and overall strength.
SILVER SNEAKERS – have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
SILVER SNEAKERS YOGA STRETCH – this yoga class will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing Yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance, and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.
SPORTS FITNESS– if you are looking for all over body workout, which includes high impact intervals, this is the class for you.
YOGA – concentrates on improving balance, flexibility, relaxation and breathing techniques. Each class uses breathing and stretching exercises while incorporating a relaxation phase at the end to enhance stress reduction.
YOGA II—This class focuses manly on intermediate level yoga pose. Challenges are provided by flow of energy as you move from one pose to another. Basic knowledge of yoga is encouraged.
ZUMBA® - a fusion of Latin and International music that create a dynamic, exciting fitness program. It is a mixture of body sculpting movements with fun, and easy to follow dance steps.
ZUMBA® TONING – It combines targeted body-sculpting exercises and high-energy cardio work with Latin-infused Zumba® moves to create a calorie-torching, strength-training dance fitness-party. The Zumba Toning class is the perfect way for enthusiasts to sculpt their bodies naturally while having a total blast.
