At the Y, we focus on programs that allow children to explore and get involved in activities that help them grow both mentally and physically.

Tri-the-Springs Triathlon

150 yard Pool Swim running-man-woman
9 Mile Bike
2 Mile Trail Run

Saturday, July 25

8:00am

This event is a 150 yd pool swim, local 9.2 mile road ride that travels through both in-town and rural roads coming close to Lake Norman State Park, followed by a two mile out-and-back trail run on the property of Barium Springs Family YMCA.

Both the ride and run will be a mixture of sun and shaded areas with some scenic views. There is a moderate elevation change on the bike ride and an uphill finish on the trail run. This race is intended to be a perfect distance for a wide variety of triathletes from the new participant to the seasoned veteran. Attention has been paid to course layout and location to accommodate a variety of skill levels keeping safety in mind.

Indivduals: Register between now and June 30 for only $45. From July 1-July 22, it’ll be $50 and packet pick up and race day it’ll be $55.
Relay: Register between now and June 30 for only $60. From July 1-July 22, it’ll be $70 and packet pick up and race day it’ll be $80.

Summer T-Ball

Score a home run with our yearly t-ball league!

Your child will build on what they know about the basics of baseball through this modified game, while having a ton of fun and meeting new friends. Games will be held at the Barium Springs Family YMCA. Volunteer Coaches needed! Ask at the front desk for League Registration Forms as well as Volunteer Applications.
