The summer months are just around the corner. Summer is meant to be filled with learning enrichment, new experiences, and making new friendships and memories that can last a lifetime. At the Y, we focus on programs that allow children to explore and get involved in activities that help them grow both mentally and physically.

Ride The River: 2013 River Park Bike Ride

This 60-mile ride through 2 counties spins through Lake Norman State Park then winds over and around Lake Norman and back to the YMCA. The 32-mile ride winds over the river and through Lake Norman State Park and back to the YMCA via Hwy 70 and Old Mountain Rd. The 10-mile Family Fun Ride stays close to the YMCA. Helmets are mandatory for all rides.  All rides begin at the Barium Springs YMCA.

Lunch provided after rides. Water, refreshment stations and restrooms available along the course. Access to an outdoor pool and locker rooms/showers included with cost.

Summer T-Ball

Hit a home run in this league-style program! All skills levels are welcome. Improve skills will team-building drills and fast-paced games. Make new friends and work on individual abilities like catching, hitting and pitching under the guidance of qualified and energetic coaches.
